In a previous role, users experienced intermittent connectivity issues on their iPads. I started by gathering detailed information about the problem, including affected devices, network configurations, and error messages. I then analyzed logs from the MDM server (Jamf Pro) and the devices themselves. I discovered a conflict between a newly deployed app and the existing network settings. I resolved the issue by creating a custom configuration profile that optimized network settings for the affected devices and redeploying the app. This involved collaborating with the network engineering team to understand the root cause and test the solution. I communicated updates to the affected users throughout the process, ensuring they were aware of the progress and expected resolution time.

I regularly monitor Apple's developer website, security advisories, and industry news sources like MacRumors and 9to5Mac. I also participate in online forums and communities dedicated to iOS administration and security. I subscribe to relevant newsletters and attend webinars on emerging threats and best practices. I also maintain a lab environment where I can test new iOS versions and security patches before deploying them to production devices. This proactive approach allows me to stay ahead of potential issues and ensure the security of our iOS infrastructure.

I have extensive experience with both Jamf Pro and Microsoft Intune. In my previous role, I was responsible for managing over 500 iOS devices using Jamf Pro. I configured and deployed configuration profiles, managed app deployments through the Apple Business Manager, and implemented security policies to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements. Recently, our company decided to implement multi-factor authentication (MFA) on all iOS devices accessing sensitive data. I was tasked with developing and implementing the necessary configuration profiles and policies using our MDM (Microsoft Intune). This involved researching different MFA methods, testing their compatibility with our existing infrastructure, and creating detailed documentation for end-users. I've used Apple Business Manager (ABM) and its predecessor, the Volume Purchase Program (VPP), extensively to streamline app deployments and device enrollment. I manage app licenses through ABM, ensuring we have the correct number for our users and can easily revoke them when employees leave. I also use ABM's automated device enrollment feature to seamlessly enroll new devices into our MDM (Jamf Pro or Microsoft Intune) without requiring manual configuration by the user. This reduces the workload on the IT support team and ensures that all devices are properly managed from day one. I'm also familiar with using ABM to manage Apple IDs for our employees and to configure device settings remotely.
